I had a dental abscess appear on the morning I woke upward. I went to the dentist, he took out the problem tooth, and put me on antibiotics. Everything seems to be going downward fine, I withal have a petty swelling in my mucilage but go on getting earache. I wonder if this means some other abscess is building somewhere else.

Wondering if I am having a dental abscess. I came upwardly with swollen glands about a week ago which to my knowledge I thought could have possibly been my thyroids. My seven year old daughter has simply come out of hospital after 6 days! Due to an abscess! No complaints about her teeth were fabricated by her recently! This started 4 months agone. The inside of my tooth literally fell out and so I went to a dentist and they filled it in. Then the hurting actually started. I normally have a very high tolerance for hurting but I couldn't stand this. I called the same dentist, he gave me antibiotic and I went dorsum to come across him over again. This time he shaved off the tooth where it was rubbing the top 1. That did not aid either. My cheek is now three times its normal size and I accept a dental appt. with some other dentist to get my abscessed tooth pulled. I accept been to this other dentist simply they wouldn't exercise anything w/o taking 10-rays of my teeth because I'd never been there before. So I have to wait another ii weeks earlier I'grand finally, finally able to get this molar pulled. They told me my options were to spend a lot of money for a root canal or not and so much money to go it pulled. My abscess started with pain generally in my mouth and an ulcer on my the inside of my bottom lip. The md said I had oral thrush and gave me medication. The next day I had a massive toothache and went to the dentist to find I had an abscess. He prescribed anti-biotics and Penicillin. I had tenderness on my cheekbone for weeks, and on and off toothache, only nothing astringent with my dental abscess. Suddenly my face started to swell to the point it caused my eye to close. I went to Accident and Emergency (Emergency Room in the US). They eventually admitted me to a ward, started a class of IV antibiotics and made an incision in my glue above the cleaved tooth. The physician so squeezed my face up to manually remove what felt like a gallon of pus from behind my cheek, via the gum incision. Six hours later I have been discharged.
